Registering for the 244th ECS Meeting from outside the U.S.?
We are experiencing a high rate of failed payments from international registrants. According to our payment processor, the problem is with the payment-issuing banks/credit cards.
Please follow these suggestions to ensure that your registration is properly processed.
Before making your payment:
- Notify your bank/credit card company that you are making a payment to another country (the U.S.).
- Ask your bank to permit SIC code 8699 (this is ECS’s Standard Industrial Classification code).
- Ensure that your account has sufficient funds to cover the payment.
- If your account has been flagged for fraud in the past, your payment may be declined. In this situation, it is especially important to notify your bank/credit card company about your impending meeting registration payment.
Thank you for your assistance with this matter. We look forward to seeing you in Gothenburg!
