ECS Journal of Solid State Science and Technology
Focus Issue on 4D Materials and Systems + Soft Robotics

The ECS Journal of Solid State Science and Technology is publishing a focus issue in connection with the 4DMS+SoRo: 4D Materials & Systems + Soft Robotics Symposium that took place during PRiME 2020.

This focus issue accepts submissions on all aspects of additive manufacturing (3D and 4D printing) of solid state materials and systems with a focus on soft robotics. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, innovative technologies and materials, materials processing, energy storage, batteries, energy harvesting, power transmission, electronic displays, artificial intelligence, sensors and actuators for soft robotics, etc. (more…)

ECS seeks candidates to fill the position of editor of ECS Transactions beginning January 1, 2021. As the Society is focused on providing programs and services to support the research community—and advancing theory and practice at the forefront of electrochemical and solid state science and technology, and allied subjects—the new editor will play a role in developing ways to improve the publication and capture content related to ECS meetings.

The ECS Transactions (ECST) manuscript submission site opens to authors and editors on Monday, July 20, for Volume 98, PRiME 2020. The site closes to editors on Friday, August 28. Volume 98, PRiME 2020, is scheduled to publish no later than Friday, September 25, 2020.

ECST is the official conference proceedings publication of The Electrochemical Society and features full-text content of proceedings from ECS meetings and ECS-sponsored meetings. Please follow author and editor instructions.

The Electrochemical Society is pleased to announce that in lieu of IMLB 2020, the IMLB organizing committee has decided to publish papers of invited speakers to the 20th International Meeting on Lithium Batteries in a focus issue of the Journal of The Electrochemical Society (JES) dedicated to this meeting.

IMLB 2020 is the premier international conference on the state of lithium battery science and technology, as well as current and future related battery systems for application in transportation, industry, grid storage, aviation, aerospace, biomedical, and other promising sectors. Planned to convene in Berlin, Germany, the conference was expected to draw more than 1,000 experts, researchers, and company representatives. (more…)

Focus Issue on Characterization of Corrosion Processes in Honor of Philippe Marcus

The Journal of The Electrochemical Society will publish a focus issue in connection with the fifth symposium on High Resolution Characterization of Corrosion Processes: In Honor of Philippe Marcus taking place during PRiME 2020.

Characterization techniques are being applied in novel and innovative ways, often in situ during corrosion studies, to obtain new information about corroding systems. This focus issue highlights exciting applications of techniques that are highly resolved in space and/or time and used to elucidate kinetics and mechanisms of underlying electrochemical reactions. Focus Issue on Photovoltaics for the 21st Century

The ECS Journal of Solid State Science and Technology will publish a focus issue in connection with the Photovoltaics for the 21st Century 16: New Materials and Processes Symposium taking place during PRiME 2020.

Electrochemical and solid state sciences have major roles to play in removing many of the barriers to terawatt solar photovoltaics. The journal invites submissions in both current and emerging areas of solar photovoltaic research, and covers a whole spectrum of cell technologies from silicon to thin films and emerging technologies.
