This year, the ECS Battery Division is accepting nominations for five awards. Winners of these awards will be recognized at the 240th ECS meeting in Orlando, Florida, from October 10-14, 2021.
Battery Division Early Career Award sponsored by Neware Technology Limited
The award was established in 2020 to encourage excellence among early career professionals in battery and fuel cell research and to recognize and support the development of talent and future leaders among early career professionals in battery and fuel cell science and technology. The winner receives a framed certificate; $2,000 US; and complimentary registration at the designated meeting. Up to $2,000 US is available for travel expenses to attend the Society meeting where the award is presented.
To encourage excellence among postdoctoral researchers in battery and fuel cell research, this award was established in 2016. Two award winners each receive a framed certificate; $2,000 US; and complimentary meeting registration at the designated meeting.
Battery Division Research Award
The Battery Division Research Award was established in 1958 to encourage excellence in battery and fuel cell research, and to encourage publication in ECS journals. The winner receives a framed certificate; $2,000 US; and ECS Battery Division membership for as long as the recipient maintains Society membership.
Battery Division Technology Award
Established in 1993, the goal of the Battery Division Technology Award is to encourage the development of battery and fuel cell technology, and to recognize significant achievements in this area. The winner receives a framed certificate; $2,000 US; and ECS Battery Division membership for as long as the recipient maintains Society membership.
Battery Division Student Research Award sponsored by Mercedes-Benz Research & Development
This award was established in 1979 to recognize promising young engineers and scientists in the field of electrochemical power sources. The award consists of a framed certificate; $1,000 US; complimentary student meeting registration; and travel expenses of up to $1,000 to facilitate meeting attendance.
ECS Honors and Awards program
