The ECS Detroit Section invites you to “All Solid-State Battery – A Status Update” presented by Y. Shirley Meng (University of Chicago) on September 26 at Mercedes-Benz Research & Development North America, Inc. Dr. Meng is Professor at the Pritzker School of Molecular Engineering at the University of Chicago. She serves as the Chief Scientist of the Argonne Collaborative Center for Energy Storage Science (ACCESS) Argonne National Laboratory.

To be eligible, one must be an ECS member, have made advanced individual technological contributions in electrochemical and solid state science and technology, and be actively involved in ECS affairs.
If you know an ECS member who meets these criteria, nominate them today! If you nominated a member last year who was not selected, know that nominations are good for two years. Ying Xia of the University of Washington is the 2024 ECS Pacific Northwest Section Electrochemistry Student Award Sponsored by Thermo Fisher Scientific recipient. The award recognizes Ying’s outstanding contribution to understanding and controlling dynamic processes at the electrode-electrolyte interface in energy storage devices, exceptional cross-institutional collaborative leadership in electrochemistry, and dedication to community engagement through education and outreach. The award is presented at the Pacific Northwest Section meeting held during the Oregon Electrochemistry Conference from September 19-20, 2024, in Eugene, OR.
