Our publishing partner, IOP, presents these awards to papers in the top one percent (1%) of the most-cited articles recently published in IOP journals with corresponding authors based in India. The top cited papers are identified based on data from Clarivate’s Web of Science during the period of 2020 to 2022.

A special congratulations to Sandeep Arya and the team of authors for their contribution to the ECS Journal of Solid State Science and Technology titled “Review—Influence of Processing Parameters to Control Morphology and Optical Properties of Sol-Gel Synthesized ZnO Nanoparticles” for making this prestigious list.

The ECS Board of Directors approved the chartering of five new student chapters at their October 12, 2023, meeting. The Society continues welcoming new student chapters into our supportive, global community, bringing the total number of chapters around the world to 136!

The U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) issued a new Dear Colleague Letter (DCL) encouraging Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs) to submit proposals for new Centers of Research Excellence in Science and Technology (CREST Center) addressing the social, political, cultural or cognitive dimensions of “advancing emerging technologies.”  

CREST projects are five-year research awards that increase research capacity and infrastructure at MSIs.
