Application deadline: January 15, 2022
June, July, and August will be here before you know it! These are great months to advance your research—and you may be eligible for financial support. Graduate students should apply now for an ECS Summer Fellowship, post-graduates for the Colin Garfield Fink Fellowship. These grants provide funding in June through September for graduate students and postdocs pursuing work in a field of interest to The Electrochemical Society.
Summer Fellowships
The Society has offered summer fellowships since 1928. Today, as many as four recipients are selected annually to receive up to US $5,000. Qualified applicants must be enrolled in a college or university, and members of ECS. Preference is given to activities that extend the scope of the applicant’s program of study such as tangential research topics or summer research at another institution. Review the candidate qualifications and award rules to see if you qualify.

Colin Garfield Fink Fellowship
To qualify for the Fink Fellowship, applicants must be current postdoctoral scientists or engineers and Society members in good standing. Recipients, who receive US $5,000, may not hold other named fellowships during the June to September period. The fellowship honors Colin G. Fink, ECS President from 1917-1918.
