Presented by Prof. Daniel A. Scherson and Prof. Andrew A. Gewirth from August 12-16, 2024

The 2024 Workshop on  Electrochemical Measurements takes place from August 12-16, 2024, at Case Western Reserve University. The Ernest B. Yeager Center for Electrochemical Sciences (YCES) organizes the annual event which is offered in person (onsite) and virtually. World-renowned electrochemists are participating, including Andrew (Andy) Gewirth, Gerald Frankel, Mark Orazem, Uzi Landau, Robert Savinell, and Daniel Scherson. Lectures cover fundamental aspects of electrochemistry, double layer theory, electroanalytical chemistry, corrosion, electrocatalysis, electrochemical engineering and fuel cell and batteries, in addition to modeling of electrochemical systems. Four hands-on laboratories are presented in real time and also recorded for later viewing. Areas covered include cyclic voltammetry, surface electrochemistry, microelectrodes, the rotating disk and ring-disk electrodes, and impedance spectroscopy. Demonstration is offered in electrocatalysis and corrosion.

The Electrochemical Society is a proud sponsor of the workshop.

October 13-14 Workshop Organized by Prof. Yan Yao

Event

The in-person fifth Organic Battery Days (OBD) 2022 Workshop continues a series of OBD events that started in Uppsala, Sweden, in 2017. This is the first time the OBD Workshop takes place in the United States! Building on the success of previous meetings, this year’s in-person event aims to strengthen communication and cooperation among experts from academic organizations, research institutes, and manufacturing companies, as well as to exchange knowledge and experience on the most recent developments in the field of organic batteries.
