In celebration of International Open Access Week, The Electrochemical Society (ECS) is pleased to announce that from October 21-27, 2024, we will remove the paywall from all our subscription content. This special initiative is part of our ongoing commitment to making the latest advances in electrochemical and solid state science accessible to researchers, educators, and professionals around the world.

International Open Access Week is a global event that promotes unrestricted access to research and scholarly work, fostering a more equitable system of knowledge sharing. This year’s theme, “Community Over Commercialization,” emphasizes the importance of prioritizing open access initiatives that serve the broader scientific community and contribute to the collective progress of knowledge. At ECS, we believe that providing free access to our peer-reviewed journals during this week aligns perfectly with this mission.
