My go-to community
Since joining ECS in 1979, ECS President Johna Leddy has held many significant roles within the organization. While her leadership roles have been impactful in all areas of the Society, she has also been a key player in shaping the ECS community, connecting with scientists and engineers from around the world and mentoring young researchers in the Society.
“I’ve had the privilege and opportunity to work on significant scientific problems and to communicate with students, helping to form how they ask questions and move forward,” Leddy said. “A big part of that has always been ECS. The Society has provided many opportunities and introduced me to a lot of outstanding, excellent scientists. The ECS community is a place to go when you have that question that you can’t get an answer to.”
