Urgent Notice: Beware of Housing Pirates
Organizations commonly referred to as “housing pirates” (such as Hotel Booking Consulting, CBS International Travel, Global Housing, Golden Pass LLC, and Elite Housing Services) may contact you regarding hotel reservations for ECS events. A housing pirate is a company or individual that falsely represents themself as an official housing provider for an ECS event and often solicits exhibitors and attendees to book accommodations through them at inflated rates or with hidden fees. These housing pirates may tell you that an ECS employee told them to call you or that they can get cheaper hotel rates. Be advised, these are all scams and companies like this are in no way affiliated with ECS.
No one should ever email or call you on behalf of ECS to book your hotel room. Companies that offer you a promotional/savings code for hotel reservations are not affiliated in any with ECS as ECS also does not offer promotional/savings codes for hotel reservations.
Only the ECS website has the official housing information, so it is best to book your room for any ECS Meeting directly through the ECS event website. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at meetings@electrochem.org.
