Warning: Housing Pirates
It has come to our attention that an outside organization, commonly referred to as a “housing pirate,” may attempt to contact you regarding accommodation and housing arrangements for SOFC events. Be advised that this is a scam. The only way to book rooms within the SOFC hotel room block is to make your reservation directly through our website.
A housing pirate is a company or individual falsely representing itself as an official SOFC event housing provider, which solicits exhibitors and attendees to book accommodations through them at inflated rates or with hidden fees. No one should ever email you or call you on behalf of SOFC to book your hotel room. Also, SOFC does not offer “promo” codes for our hotel reservations. Companies that offer these are not affiliated in any way with SOFC.
These housing pirates may say that an employee told them to call you or that they can get cheaper rates at the conference hotel. Remember that the best way to book your room for the SOFC conference is to go directly through our website. Otherwise, you may lose your money and not have a hotel room reserved.

To keep meeting costs as low as possible for attendees and SOFC, we encourage you to utilize the official SOFC housing block while attending the meeting. SOFC negotiates with its lodging partners to guarantee the most competitive rates and convenient locations.
We strongly encourage you to reserve a room as early as possible. Reservations can be made online starting in February 2025, with these reservation deadlines:
