The Electrochemical Society, an international scientific society of more than 8,500 members, is pleased to announce its support of the March for Science. A global event with almost 400 satellite marches taking place on Earth Day, April 22, the March for Science aims to celebrate science and bring attention to the role it plays in improving lives, solving problems, and informing evidence-based policy. The March aligns with ECS’s Free the Science initiative that will completely open the ECS Digital Library and adopt new models of open science so that critically important research in human and environmental sustainability will be free and accessible to all.
ECS fully endorses the March for Science’s non-partisan, non-violent, educational, and diversity goals and encourages its members to adhere to these values as they get involved in one of the numerous marches taking place throughout the world.
