Thank you for considering a gift to ECS!
“Real generosity to the future lies in giving to the present.”
–Albert Camus
There are many different ways to make your contribution.
When you join or renew membership
You can easily make a gift to ECS through our membership portal. When you go to check out, select the option to donate online.
Online
You can make a donation directly through our website with your credit card.
Via check
Please make your check payable to The Electrochemical Society, note the fund to which you would like to give in the memo line, and mail to:

Transfer securities
If you are a U.S. resident, you may transfer stocks, bonds, or mutual funds to ECS as a charitable contribution. You do not have to pay capital gains tax on the transfer, and you may receive an immediate income tax deduction for the current value of the securities. Please contact the ECS Development Office, development@electrochem.org, to learn more.
Planned giving
A planned gift allows you to support ECS while retaining complete control over your assets during your lifetime. Because of careful tax planning and the passage of time, planned gifts often enable you to make a larger contribution than would otherwise be possible. Depending on your country of residence, a planned gift to ECS may also earn a full charitable deduction on estate taxes. Learn more.
CFC payroll deduction
If you are a U.S. federal employee, you may give to ECS through the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC). You may make a one-time gift through CFC or arrange to have a specific donation regularly withheld from your paycheck. ECS is currently registered with the CFC of the National Capital Area (CFCNCA); our charity code is 10087. To learn more about CFC or to set up an account, please visit cfcnca.org.
Other gift options
You may choose to make a one-time gift or establish a monthly recurring payment. Whatever your preference, please know that gifts of all sizes are extremely important to our mission to produce and disseminate the most recent scientific discoveries in our field.
To discuss more gift options, please email development@electrochem.org or call 609-737-1902 ext. 102.
Please check with your employer about a matching gifts program–many programs match your donation to double the impact of your gift!
Thank you!
